Royal Holloway has appointed Stride Treglown to help manage the public consultation events relating to development projects requiring planning applications or submissions being made to Runnymede Borough Council, as the Local Planning Authority for the area.

Stride Treglown, and the university, takes data protection and privacy very seriously. If you have any questions or concerns about how your personal data is being used by Stride Treglown, on behalf of the university, you can contact their Data Protection Team (DataProtectionTeam@stridetreglown.com). In relation to public consultation events held on behalf of Royal Holloway, Stride Treglown may ask for basic information about you, such as your name, address and/or email address. You do not need to provide this information to engage with the team or to complete any surveys. Stride Treglown ask for such information in order to record who attended the consultation and monitor the number of local residents and those who may live further afield. They may then utilise this information within a Statement of Community Involvement which will be submitted as part of the planning application. Comments provided are never attributable to any individual, but comments made may be extracted to help summarise the nature of the issues made.

The main reason why your email address may be helpful to the team is to be able to make contact with you in future stages of the project, for example to let to know that a planning application has been submitted to the council.

Stride Treglown do not intend to record your personal details within their contacts database and we will not keep your details for marketing purposes. They will not share your personal data with anyone, other than the university, who will only use your details for the purposes of this contract. Royal Holloway is genuinely interested in hearing your views and, should you raise an issue which the university consider would benefit from further dialogue, you may be contacted by us in relation to that issue.

Stride Treglown are required to retain all documentation relating to this contract for a statutory period after which time it will be deleted.
